The patented tunnel design uses aircraft-grade 7-series aluminium poles to give the structure a proper tent shape so the rainfly doesn't sag onto you in the night, and the interior stays open regardless of the weather outside. This is a fundamentally different experience to sleeping in a standard hammock.
The rainfly is rated PU3000 built for heavy, sustained rain. The hammock base itself is rated 1000mm waterproof, meaning moisture from below doesn't reach you either. The EYRIE protects you from above. The FJELL seals you in completely.
High-density polyester mesh blocks insects at every size. Tree straps are 1000D reinforced polyester with 10 anchor points. The 5KN aluminium buckles are rated to 500kg each.
It weighs 1.8kg and packs to 43.5×18×13cm. Not the lightest system here - that's the EYRIE. But if you're camping in Scotland in October, driving to your spot, or you simply want the best outdoor sleep you've ever had, the FJELL is in a different category entirely.
